江小远在金牌驾校学车时，遭遇教练刘燕的严重不公对待。刘燕重男轻女，不仅让女学员顶着烈日洗车，还辱骂、克扣学时，并暗示索贿。在一次练车中，刘燕恶意惊吓导致江小远撞车，并借机勒索两千元维修费。江小远表面妥协，实则私下安装了具备云端监控功能的行车记录仪，并录下了刘燕索贿、骂人的关键证据。刘燕随后停了江小远的课，并以“模范教练”候选人身份参加市交通局的表彰大会。江小远向担任交通局长的父亲举报了此事。表彰大会上，江小远将宣传片替换为刘燕霸凌学员、收受贿赂的录像。面对铁证和苏菲菲等学员的当众指证，江局长当场宣布撤销刘燕的执照。最终，金牌驾校因违法链条被关停，校长及多名教练被刑拘，刘燕因敲诈勒索等罪名被判有期徒刑七年。全市驾培行业随后开展了专项整治。江小远和好友们转入正规驾校，在女教练星辰的指导下顺利考取驾照。江小远也成功入职新媒体公司，实现了自驾游的约定，掌握了自己的人生方向。
