新婚旅行でオーストラリアを訪れた達也と亜美は、宿泊先でホテルで二人組の刑事に襲われる。あるはずのないコカインを部屋から押収され逮捕されようとした際、達也は誤って一人を殺してしまい、彼は終身刑を言い渡され刑務所に収容されてしまう。亜美は、彼らの目的は二人の持っていたカメラだと知るが、肝心のカメラはあるバーで乱闘に巻き込まれた時にその乱闘を起こした日本人に奪われていた。亜美はその男・ケンを捜し求め、事情を説明しようと協力を求める。ケンがカメラに入っていたフィルムを現像すると、そこにはオーストラリアでは有名な悪人・吉岡の姿が映っていた。空港で何げなく撮ったそのフィルムが吉岡と政府高官との癒着の現場を収めていたのだった。亜美とケンは同じく陰謀により刑務所に収容されていたアボリジニ、ジャスパーの村を訪ね、彼の仲間チャーリーらとも協力して刑務所に侵入、達也とジャスパーを救出する。だが執拗な追跡を受け、逃亡の途中ケンは吉岡の凶弾に倒れてしまう。逃亡の最中に今まで眠っていた野獣の血を蘇らせた達也は逆に吉岡を追い詰め、銃口を向けた。それはケンとの友情の証しでもあった。
