“V-1” is a vocal survival show that seeks to find the best vocalist amongst active girl groups in Korea. From main vocalists who are already known for their talents to hidden gems who are ready to blow people away, 12 idols have gathered to take on the title of “Vocal Queen.” Of 86 idols who applied for the show, GWSN’s Seoryeong, gugudan’s Nayoung, DIA’s Jueun, DreamCatcher’s Siyeon, Venus’s Jeong Da Kyung, SONAMOO’s High.D, APRIL’s Jinsol, WJSN’s Yeonjung, Weki Meki’s Sooyeon and Choi Yoojung, and Cherry Bullet’s Hayeoon and Bora will advance to the main competition. The servant Josef enters the seemingly peaceful household of the psychiatrist Jaroslav and his wife Žofie, a great lover of the theatre. The main characters of the film, inspired by director Soukup's own experiences at the Škodovka factory in Pilsen, are two inseparable friends who, after graduating from the industrial school, join a large engineering plant. Here they spend their first year of post-graduate life, where their vague ideas and ideals clash with their completely different life experience. In addition to their conflicting work experiences, Ondřej and Cyril have to deal with their own personal problems. They have big plans for the future, but their dreams are unexpectedly interrupted by a tragic event.
