Dil-E-Nadaan (The Innocent Heart) is an Indian Hindi film directed by C.V. Sridhar, released in 1982. The film stars Rajesh Khanna in the main lead role as Anand and Shatrughan Sinha as his friend, as the second lead character of the film.[1] This film was remake of the 1978 Tamil film Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu, directed by C.V. Sridhar, where Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth played the lead male roles. After the success of the Tamil version, C.V. Sridhar decided to remake it in Hindi and directed it himself.

The story revolves around Agha Jan and his two sons Behroze and Suhaib. Behroze is engaged to Agha Jan's niece Arjumand since childhood but he refuses to accept this relation and wants to marry Ruhina, who belongs to a middle-class family and is his class mate, when Agha Jan comes to know about this he tells him to either leave or marry Arjumand, Behroze leaves his father's house and Agha Jan announces that the wedding will take place as scheduled with his younger son Suhaib (who loves Laila). The series is based on a story of an innocent girl Simran who is forcefully married to a rich man Vikram for money.

Seenu (Nitin) is a new admit into a college. Nandini (Neha) goes to the same college. Seenu is from a middle class family and Nandini is a rich girl. Nandini is the only daughter of Gowri Shankar (Prakash Raj), who is a land mafia don. Gowri Shankar suspects them to be lovers after he finds them dancing for freshers celebration at college. Seenu gets beaten up. Irritated by this, Seenu challenges about winning the love of Nandini. After several attempts, she falls in love with him. They elope and get married when Gowri Shankar tries to separate them. The story takes several turns before the movie ends in a happy note.
