A poor manual labourer, Shivu, hopelessly tries to arrange money to carry out a funeral for his mother and rescues a girl from thugs along the way.

Wagle Ki Duniya (literally: 'Wagle's World') was a popular sitcom on Indian television that originally aired between 1988 and 1990. It was directed by Kundan Shah and was based on characters created by noted cartoonist R. K. Laxman, especially "the common man" about the issues of common middle-class Indian man. It starred Anjan Srivastav as a bumbling salesclerk in a multinational company and Bharati Achrekar as his wife. The series was a hit and made Anjan Srivastav a household name.

Nam Duniya Nam Style is a 2013 Kannada adventure film, written, directed and produced by Preetham Gubbi. It stars Likith Shetty, Vinayak Joshi, Krishna, Sonia Gowda, Milana Nagaraj, Kavya Shetty. The film is "about three people who hail from different backgrounds and who have been friends for 15 years. The trio are a jovial and fun-loving lot, and are excited about their first travel abroad together", said Preetham, who admitted he was inspired by the Hindi film Dil Chahta Hai. H C Venu was the cinematographer, while Shaan Rahman composed the music for the movie. The film was extensively shot in Karnataka, Kashmir and Malaysia

Papad Pol - Shahbuddin Rathod ki Rangeen Duniya was a popular sitcom that aired on SAB TV from Monday to Friday 7:30 pm IST. It was based on the story of the imaginary world of characters created by renowned writer Shahabuddin Rathod.
