The Return of Arsène Lupin (1989) is a French crime television series consisting of 12 episodes, each approximately 55 minutes long, broadcast on FR3 between November 1989 and January 1990. It features the famous gentleman thief created by Maurice Leblanc, played here by François Dunoyer, in a more mischievous and modern interpretation than his predecessors, which retains the hero's refinement and intelligence while immersing him in stories with international overtones, with a more contemporary tone for the late 1980s.

Con artist Corinna seizes the opportunity and slips into the role of a baron's widow. She manages to gain access to the chambers of a billionaire in Nice. Once on the Cote D'Azur, she promptly encounters a rival. The swindlers vie for the billionaire, or whoever they think he is. Then the real widow turns up.

The short film is named Sorette Dakara ne! after the 38-member idol group AGC38's official song. It is set in the classes of the Musashi Asahigaoka Girls' Academy that the girls attend.

In his will, the late Jérôme Armandy has expressed the wish to have all the surviving members of his family summoned to the Château de l'Etang, in Provence. Firmin, Jérôme's servant, asks Claude, a Montmartre artist, to organize the reunion, to find the sum of 17 million francs which is hidden there (as a child he had been told by Armandy where the hiding place was) and to divide the amount between the different heirs. But a series of odd facts occur: Claude is knocked unconscious as he is busy opening the hiding place door; one of the heirs gets killed; and even more astounding, the dead man reappears and... asks his money back!
