里昂-孚希特万格（1884--1958），出身于德国慕尼黑一个犹太血统的工厂主家庭青年时期曾先后在慕尼黑和柏林的大学里攻读德国语言文学、哲学、人类学和梵文，1907年获哲学博士学位。1908年--1916年在《舞台周报》担任剧评工作。第一次世界大战爆发时，30岁的孚希特万格正与妻子在突尼斯旅行，被法国当局拘留，后逃回德国。 1918年，他结识布莱希特，并与他合作，创作戏剧。1933年希特勒上台后，他被抄家、剥夺公民权，流亡法国，积极从事反法西斯活动，成为德国作家中仅次于亨利希-曼的最坚决的反法西斯战士。1936年与布莱希特等作价共同创办流亡者杂志《发言》。次年访苏，写出《一九三七年的莫斯科》。1940年德军侵入法国，他历尽艰险，于1941年流亡到美国，居住在加利福尼亚，直至逝世。 孚希特万格的主要成就是小说，一生创作近20部长篇小说，其中大部分是历史...(展开全部)
