Set in the year 2029 after a decade long pandemic kills over four billion people worldwide, SARS-29 is a fictional documentary that explores how the world has changed through the stories of thirty survivors.

The once clean and healthy city of Toronto becomes the pariah of the western world when a deadly chain of infection lands in the city. Panic spreads as the number of SARS cases increases as there are no effective treatments.

A doctor's wife tires of his obsession with model trains, and spends her days wondering about the son she gave up for adoption at birth. When mysterious stranger Martin (Gary Oldman) drops in on Linda, he claims to be her long-lost illegitimate son. As seen in flashbacks, the 16-year-old Linda was raped at a carnival by a man (Gary Oldman) who resembles Martin.
