The chef was a quiet, reserved man, but deeply devoted to his ailing daughter. Desperate to pay for her medical treatment, he had begged for help from everyone he could—only to be turned away each time. One day, just as despair began to consume him, a customer suddenly collapsed in his restaurant, blood quickly pooling on the floor. The chef reached for his phone to call the police, but then his eyes caught sight of a black duffel bag lying beside the man. He opened it—and found it stuffed with cash. Torn between guilt and desperation, he hesitated. But in the end, he took the money and meticulously cleaned up the scene, disposing of the body. When he returned to the restaurant, his wife was waiting with unexpected news: someone had agreed to lend them the money. It had already been transferred to his bank account. The chef said nothing. The cruelty of fate had left him utterly speechless.
