作者简介： 薛龙（Ronald Suleski）：1942年出生于美国的宾夕法尼亚州。1974年获得密歇根大学博士学位。1980－1997年在日本东京担任一家国际出版机构的负责人，同时出任日本亚细亚协会主席。1997年返回美国后,担任美国哈佛大学费正清中国研究中心副主任，2009年出任美国萨福克大学罗森伯格东亚研究所所长兼教授。 译者简介： 徐有威：上海大学历史系教授兼副主任，博士生导师。主要研究领域为中华民国史和中国近现代史。 杨军: 吉林大学历史系主任兼教授，博士生导师。从事中国东北地方史研究，特别是古代东北地方史的研究。
