丁三贵（午马 饰）是一个人缘好、生意红火的茶楼老板，但他有赌博的恶习，经常招惹他的妻子生气。黑社会老大王八看中了丁三贵的茶楼，想要买下来，但遭到了丁家的拒绝。为了实现自己的目的，王八利用了丁三贵好赌的弱点，设下了一个赌局。在这个赌局中，丁三贵输掉了茶楼，而且在输掉茶楼的过程中突发心脏病，在赌桌上不幸去世。这导致了丁家的破产和悲惨的结局。 　　然而，丁三贵的阴魂并没有离开，他回到人世寻找机会复仇。在酒楼做事的伙计侯哥了解了丁家的冤情后，决心为丁三贵鸣冤，夺回茶楼。在丁的帮助下，侯哥联系了警方，并巧妙地设下了一个赌局，以便将王八等一伙的歹徒擒获。最终，正义得以伸张，王八等人被捕并绳之以法。丁三贵的冤情得到了昭雪，茶楼也恢复了丁家的掌控。
