《光与一人》是一档短剧节目，由表现力出色的女演员满岛，和兼具艺人、影像导演身份的剧团一人“二人独处”“面对观众”“一气呵成现场直播”地进行表演。平时活跃在不同领域的两人在观众面前表演短剧，这一过程会由七台摄像机进行捕捉。

「ひかりとひとり」は、女優として高い表現力を誇る満島と、芸人・映像監督という2つの顔を持つ劇団ひとりが「2人きりで」「観客を前に」「一発本番で」展開するコント番組。普段は別のフィールドで活躍する2人が客前で繰り広げるコントを7台のカメラが捉える。

大学1年生になった橘こころは、日々の生活に悩み、友人関係や自分の存在意義について迷っている。友達付き合いが得意でない彼女は、ある日、雨の中で「謎の男」と出会う。男がこころの落とした日記帳を拾ったことをきっかけに仲良くなり、それから雨の日に男と再会するようになる。こころは自分の理想とする「きらびやかな大学生活」について話すと、男は不思議な提案をし、こころを理想の世界へ導こうとする。彼の言葉に半信半疑ながらも、こころは目を閉じ、夢のような大学生活を体験することに…。本当の幸せとはなにか、こころが見つけた答えとは…。

The storyline is basically the same as in the original work, although there are many parts where logic is omitted. The dialogue and narration have been reconfigured considerably, with some of the speakers being changed, but almost all of it is composed of words extracted from the original work. However, with the exception of Kindaichi, all the characters are played by women, the dialogue is almost barbed, and the clothing deviates slightly from what is appropriate to the situation, thus eliminating any sense of reality. The reason why Nanako's jumper and Washio's trousers were needed is not clear, as the murderer swims to Nanako's room in her clothes. In addition, Lieutenant Kamio's subordinate is simplified to only one detective, Aoki.

Minako, a Tokyo housewife, is depressed that everybody has an energetic life outside of the house except her. Using her inspiration from television reports of a hitch-hiking chainsaw murderer, Minako decides to spice up her life by finding a young fan and running off with him by faking her kidnapping. While the woman family frets and worries, Minako has a wonderful time. Eventually, though, she chooses it’s time for you to get back to her family. The woman fan, nevertheless, isn’t prepared for the enjoyable to stop, and Minako’s fake kidnapping shortly becomes all too genuine.
