A man and a woman are having a candlelit dinner at a restaurant. All of a sudden the man’s appearance begins to change. The Lovers is a stop motion relationship horror and unromantic comedy about a couple forced to deal with escalating bodily transformations.

Three episodes: 　　1)The refrigerator aka Il frigorifero: 　　Gavino Puddu and his wife Adele, proletarians Sardinian residents in a modest basement of Turin , have made great sacrifices to pay in installments a huge fridge capacity of 180 liters, of which, because of their poverty, they only serve to cool the tap water and to arouse the admiration and envy of the neighbors.
