中组部女处长林峰玉，在关键时刻，纠正了副省长林强盛被“重病提拔”的严重错误，获得嘉奖，并被省委书记郁浩民看中，“空降”到该省东山市任市委组织部长。此时，东山市玉龙县委老书记癌症晚期，急需选拔新的县委书记，市委将这项任务交给了林峰玉。常务县长高思民是候选人之一，临时主持全面工作，这是个有争议的人选。有人说他是能人，有人说他有贪官。高思民就在考察选拔他的节骨眼上，引火烧身，下令打掉了一个黑社会团伙，抓捕了上市公司玉龙集团的的总经理吕佳龙。这下捅了马峰窝，遭到了以卢晓明为首的利益集团的反扑。在一次次的较量中，林峰玉拔开迷雾，逐一推翻了强加在高思民身上的以权谋私、打击报复、权色交易等诸多不实之辞，还了高思民清正、廉洁的共产党员形象。

A child throws stones at the moon. They say the sun has gone and will only return when anxiety has disappeared. Until then, the stars are there to offer comfort. So the child counts the stars in the night’s endless expanse on the slopes of the Algerian Atlas mountains. Aness, the child, is the companion of Lamine, a young man on the run. Both are being pursued by nameless people carrying arms. Who are these criminals? Why must the two of them hide and sleep at night with weapons in their hands? Is the child merely a figment of Lamine’s imagination? A desire made flesh? Narrated elliptically and associatively, La nuit et l’enfant tells of omnipresent danger and constant threats. The film moves between realism and dream: Almost documentary-like shots alternate with powerful, poetic imagery. In the 90s, the Djelfa region was a terrorist stronghold. Lamine says that life was different before the terrorists came. Without dogma and with plenty of room for interpretation, this film is the account of a young generation’s will to live, a generation which must set boundaries even as it suffers. 基高是小学六年级学生，个子要比同龄的孩子大一辈，村里的少年们没人能打得过她。她有个读四年级的弟弟伊沙姆。初秋的一天，奶奶带着身背菜篓的基高去镇上。周围的人们用好奇的眼光看着基高，而她却并不在意。奶奶到医院接受例行诊查，基高独自先回家。奶奶向院长提起两个孩子是日美混血，院长答应帮助寻找愿意收养他们的美国家庭。不久后一个带着照相机的陌生男子突然出现在村里，拍下了伊沙姆的照片。此人当晚拜访了基高的家，原来有人要领养姐弟两人中的一个。不久后，外务省来了通知，伊沙姆将被一个美国农庄主收养。汽车带着大哭的伊沙姆离开，追着车的基高也大声呼喊。与弟弟分别的基高很快又振作起来，迎接新的生活…… 　　影片描绘了一对日美混血儿姐弟的故事。表现出导演对战后这一后遗症的关心。然而片中主人公的生活并不是充满了悲苦和歧视，他们虽然是弃儿，虽然总是要面对他人好奇得目光，却生活得富有朝气、明朗无畏。出演主角的两名小演员分别是东京荒川的小学六年级学生和横须贺的小学四年级学生，他们从众多候选人中脱颖而出，在导演的指导下接受表演训练。初登大银幕的他们表演十分自然动人。本片囊括了各个日本电影奖中的最佳影片奖，导演今井正和基高的扮演者高桥恵美子也分别获奖。

故事发生在1930年代，讲述两个男人陷入了一场激烈的爱情，他们离开美国加州，去往墨西哥。
