剧情以90年代东北老工业基地为背景，讲述经营录像厅的陆冰河（刘浩群 饰）与逃婚农村女孩杨春融（郭宇欣 饰）因利益闪婚，在应对下岗潮、地痞欺压等时代困境中逐渐建立真情的故事。剧组辗转辽宁、吉林两省七个城市，选定本溪老工厂区实景拍摄，手工复原红星音像店场景及年代物件，使用同期声与市井环境音效增强真实感，90%演员采用东北籍阵容确保方言原味。
