八年前，正憧憬着与男友出国团聚的廖小青在送男友梁海洋去机场时，突然发现梁在美国已另有新欢，深受打击的廖小青匆匆跑出机场，撞到了香港人高大伟…

廖小青（徐帆 饰）腹中怀上了男友海洋（马跃 饰）的孩子，她正满心欢喜的准备和海洋一起去美国，开始新的生活。哪知道在去机场的途中，廖小青震惊的得知，海洋在美国另有新欢。海洋的背叛带给了廖小青沉重的打击，在匆匆逃离机场的途中，廖小青撞到了香港商人高大伟（曾志伟 饰），两人就此相识相知。 　　一晃眼8年过去，廖小青和高大伟喜结良缘，不仅如此，廖小青还生下了海洋的孩子高丝丝，高大伟对高丝丝视如己出，十分宠爱，一个美满的小家庭在北京生活得十分幸福。然而，高大伟内心里一直有着隐隐的不安，因为他知道，时至今日，廖小青依然不能够从旧日的情伤之中完全走出。
