The title and subtitle of this French miniseries are "Six Times Two; Over and under the media". The "six" refers to the fact that there are six episodes; the "two" has a double meaning. Each of these episodes is a collaboration between two people: Jean-Luc Godard and his long-time partner Anne-Marie Miéville, but the "two" also refers to the fact that each episode has a two-part structure. The individual episodes run 100 minutes each, split almost precisely into two 50-minute sections. 　　Each episode deals with a specific theme -- history, women, labour -- with the first half being an overview of that topic, and the second half being a documentary interview with one person who somehow represents that very broad topic! 　　This is a thoroughly Gallic documentary series, with everything that the term implies; despite my passion for Godard's films, I found 'Six Times Two' to be extremely talkative and static. Reportedly, Godard himself did not have a high opinion of this miniseries.

Nine filmmakers for one extraordinary archive. The Istituto Luce turned ninety in 2014, its long history intertwined with that of Italy itself, through cinema and that unique treasure trove of images known to all as the Luce Archives. To celebrate its anniversary, some of the most acclaimed rising filmmakers in Italy were invited to make a small film, with each director selecting ten minutes of footage from the archives, out of the thousands of hours of footage to be found there. 　　The result is an album full of different narratives. The film footage speaks of the outbreak of war, implorations of peace; building collapses and reconstruction; recollections of (possibly) lost landscapes, and lost realities; miracles, superstitions and dreams. 这是一个深受躁郁症折磨的女人，跨越一整个社会的自救。

生活上受挫的中年男人老王消失了，他的好友与妻子发现老王一个月前买的彩票中奖了，当天晚上彩票就将过期，于是两人四处寻找老王，寻找途中发生各种意外，就在这时，消失的老王突然出现。

平静的一天，小老鼠杰瑞躲在洞里配制某种神秘的药水。他小酌之后，身体随之发生了奇妙的变化。原来这是一种可以让服用者具有超快速度的药水，杰瑞迫不及待将老对手汤姆当作实验对象。此时汤姆正躺在沙发上吃沙丁鱼，可是鱼还没有进嘴，便被一阵金色的旋风袭击变成了鱼刺。汤姆惊讶不已，他怀疑屋内有鬼，但很快就否定了这个可笑的想法，他认定这是一只装备了火箭喷射器的苍蝇，于是乎他设下陷阱准备捕捉那个捣乱者。当然，汤姆的速度远远赶不上飞快地杰瑞，一次次捕捉失败，杰瑞也变得愈加猖狂，房间内所有的食物都被他洗劫一空。汤姆吓的躲进了冰箱，可是他今天的磨难不会就此结束……

西郷隆盛（小吉、吉之助）は、薩摩（鹿児島）の貧しい下級武士の家に育った。両親を早くに亡くし、家計を補うため役人の補佐として働くが、困った人を見ると放っておけず、自分の給金も弁当も全部与えてしまう始末。西郷家はますます貧乏になり、家族は呆れかえるが、西郷は空腹を笑い飛ばす。 　　そんな愚直な西郷に、カリスマ薩摩藩主・島津斉(なり)彬(あきら)が目を留めた。「民の幸せこそが国を富ませ強くする」と強く主張する斉彬に、西郷も心酔する。西郷は、斉彬の密命を担い江戸へ京へと奔走。薩摩のキーパーソンとなっていく。 　　生涯の師・斉彬との出会いと別れ。篤姫との淡い恋。仲間との友情と反目。多感な青年期を経て、３度の結婚、2度の島流し…。極貧の下級武士に過ぎなかった素朴な男は、南国奄美で愛に目覚め、勝海舟、坂本龍馬ら盟友と出会い、揺るぎなき「革命家」へと覚醒し、やがて明治維新を成し遂げて行く。
