Corporate executive Donald Beeman, fed up with the rat race, impulsively quits his job and takes to the road as a traveling tap dancing magician under the tutelage of Mr. Delasandro. Caetano Gotardo, whose contribution to the omnibus film Neverquiet (Film of Wonders) was screened in 2011 at IFFR, stays close to home in his second feature. He writes, directs, edits and also plays the leading role. The story is set in the Brazilian artists’ milieu. 　　Joao has extensive conversations with friends, strangers and himself. For instance with his best friend Irene, who cannot let go of memories of her ex; and the boy he meets in the metro, with whom he wants to have sex. Beside life and love, the creative process is a recurring theme in the conversations, in the best traditions of filmmakers like Éric Rohmer or Hong Sang-soo. Piece by piece, the encounters, conversations and monologues have a great influence on Joao, who literally wrestles with his attitude to life. A puzzle unfolds within which time, narrative, character and perspective are all jumbled up in an intriguing way.

长耳朵和短尾巴两只小兔子是好朋友。一天，它俩在树林里发现了一个很大的蘑菇。为了争要这个蘑菇，两个好朋友争吵起来，树上的小松鼠见了直笑话它们。长耳朵感到很不好意思，要求短尾巴把蘑菇给它看看就行了。它拿起大蘑菇左看右看，总看不够。短尾巴生怕长耳朵不还给它，就去抢，由于用力太猛，蘑菇被弄碎了。于是它俩又互相埋怨并打起架来。老松鼠批评它们不该打架，短尾巴很不乐意，它赌气离开长耳朵，独自采蘑菇去了。不料，突然下了大雨，短尾巴被瀑布冲到山沟底下，满满的一篮蘑菇也都撒了。这时，长耳朵冒雨找到短尾巴，把它从沟底救了上来。短尾巴感动地检讨了自己的错误，两只小兔子又和好如初了。

本剧讲述了一位农村青年回到家乡展开创业，通过种植蘑菇，凭借不懈努力和偶然遇到的机遇，克服种种困难，最终实现致富，走上人生巅峰的励志故事。剧情紧凑，充满逆袭与温情，展现了平凡人不平凡的致富路······

蘑菇只有在常年下雨的地方才会生长旺盛，可我们村常年干早，根本就不适合蘑菇的生长，但外公卖的蘑菇却从未断过货，外公在后山种了很多香气四溢的蘑菇，他种的蘑菇味道很鲜，吃起来滑嫩可口，是那种让人吃了一辈子都不能忘记的味道，不少的饭店大厨都会来我家进货，因为我家的蘑菇，让他他店里的生意好的不得了，可是外婆却从来不准我吃那些蘑菇，并且每次采摘蘑菇时，外婆都会以泪洗面，痛苦的不行。
