Lazy preppie Palmer Woodrow hires street-smart Eddie Keaton to go to school for him while he lives it up in Europe. Eddie falls in love with preppie gal Tracey, upsetting Biff, the Hoover Academy bully. When his bookie from the old neighborhood, Dice, comes to collect on Eddie's gambling debts and Palmer returns early from Europe, the scheme slowly starts to unravel. Soon, Eddie can't even tell whose side he's really on.

A woman dressed garishly in bubble-gum colors conducts an opinion survey about bubble gum consumer habits at a street market. Her interviewee, a girl of six or seven, is in turn determined, convinced, engaged, skeptical, annoyed, and distracted by other, more important things.

Farocki's newest film portrays a brainstorming session about new concepts for mobile workstations which would grant employees a high degree of autonomy - and leave experts grappling for words. The product concept is bold, but intellectually flimsy, and best serves as a reflection of existing world order. Once again, colored markers and eye-catching graphics are used to disguise heartless capitalism. The cutesy branding of neoliberal market economics is grotesque... and fascinating.
