本剧九七年首演时原名《运将、黑道、狗和他的老婆们》。 2002年春季再演时则改名为《他和他的两个老婆》，一方面反应台湾荒诞不经的社会百态，二方面则因该题材乃全球性话题，特别在上海更具时代意义。因此，本剧在台北演出同时，上海也在对岸同步演出由丁乃筝、陈立华共同导演，但剧名已变更的《他没有两个老婆》。这也是两岸分隔多年以来，首次以同样剧本、不同演员，开创两岸携手同步演出的先例。         剧情主要叙述一位偷偷坐享齐人之福的运将，多年来靠着一张排班表，分别搞定住在景美的大老婆和住在木栅的二老婆。不料，一个台风天，一场意外车祸，居然让他发现一张记录着黑白两道重要人物性能力的光碟偷拍带；更不幸的是，正因这张光碟，使他成为八卦媒体、即将退休的老警员和认真办案的菜鸟警察追逐的对象，就在一连串阴错阳差的调查之下，他不得已，只好和他的无赖朋友编出滚雪球般的天大谎话……
