En Turín fue donde escribió algunos de sus mejores textos como “Ecce homo” y “El crepúsculo de los ídolos”. Nietzsche era muy sensible a sus alrededores y al clima, y la Italia del Norte le brindó satisfacción. Este ensayo cinematográfico se desarrolla sin diálogos y con la narración basada en textos originales del filósofo. 　　"Incursión fílmica, a modo de ensayo, que narra la estancia en Turín de una figura tan apasionante como controvertida como la de Nietzsche. 　　El planteamiento formal nos lleva a la primera persona del filósofo haciendo un recorrido por las calles de la ciudad italiana, a modo de percepción personal, a veces difusa y casi onírica, acompañada de las reflexiones del genio alemán, vocalizadas siempre en tercera persona. El resto es decorado, tanto lo móvil (las personas) como lo inmóvil. 　　La película en sí es una entera alegoría; parece casi como una proyección mental del filósofo, según su prisma particular. En su relación con el entorno, es una película muda; solo hay mímica y gesticulación. Probablemente el director intenta plasmar la escisión progresiva de Frederich con el mundo que le rodeaba, con la realidad, hasta llevarlo a la locura. 　　No se puede negar que el planteamiento no sea atrevido, arriesgado y en buena manera acertado. Pero ocupar todo el metraje con tal planteamiento exige una concentración que el espectador nunca suele tener, a no ser que su interés por el contenido sea máximo (y aun así a veces puede hacerse algo tediosa). Es acertado como extrapola el mundo interno del personaje a su relación con el mundo externo y como intercala el pensamiento del mismo tal que si fueran pinceladas lúcidas. Pero como digo, el precio a pagar es un desarrollo un tanto espeso y carente de ritmo. 　　La fotografía y la escenografía suele ser acertada, pretendidamente amateur en los planos subjetivos, colorista y fija en los planos alejados de la figura principal, peca de anacrónica en algunos momentos (lugares o parte de los mismo que no pertenecen a la época que se pretende representar), pero imagino que el presupuesto del equipo de rodaje sería escaso. 　　Lo mejor, aparte del controvertido y arriesgado planteamiento (según se mire), es la fidelidad en el contenido a las ideas y palabras del escritor. Cosa que es de agradecer, vistos otros intentos fílmicos. Te ofrece un pequeño mosaico con las ideas, pensamientos e inquietudes de Nietzsche. 　　Recomendada principalmente al público al cual le atraiga su obra y que tenga curiosidad por ver retales de la vida del poeta en imágenes." This would definitely not have been my kind of movie, but my husband saw it on TV and said it was really good. So, on his recommendation, I bought a copy, since I didn't know if it would ever be on TV again. I had never heard of anybody in it except Armand Assante. At first I had a hard time getting into the story, because the first part of the movie is a jumble of images-- and it doesn't make much sense. It is only later in the movie that it all comes together. The scene-cutting- if that's what it's called, is a bit jarring-- it sometimes looks as if a few frames have been cut out of each scene, and the scenes are jerky--but I guess that was done to add to the unusualness (if that's a word). The story veers here and there, and just about the time you have it all figured out, everything turns upside down and you have to readjust your thinking as to who is the bad guy and who is not. Or bad woman. The acting is very good-- I kept thinking how much Norman Reedus looks like Leo Decaprio. The ending was a real twist, totally unexpected, which I liked. A good show.
