探偵・左文字進（水谷豊）宛に殺人予告の手紙が届いた。「殺人ツアーへようこそ」という文面で始まる、その手紙の差出人・林裕二と左文字は、以前に知人の披露宴で知り合っただけの関係だった。林から不可解な手紙を受け取った左文字は、手紙に同封されたチケットで秘書の史子（さとう珠緒）と共に初島へ向かった。左文字が初島に到着してすぐ、林が島で唯一の医者・岩渕徹（蟹江敬三）の娘婿・郷田一樹（松田賢二）に切りかかっているところに遭遇する。 　　翌日、史子は崖下で背中にナイフを突きたてられた林の死体を発見した。しかし、再度現場に戻るとナイフはなく、現場検証及び検死の結果、事故死と断定されてしまう。後日、林のパソコンに残されたアクセス記録から、林の婚約者・絵里子（細川直美）が郷田に殺害されたと言う事実が発覚する。
