本剧改编自由夏目漱石的妻子镜子与女婿松冈让著成的《漱石的回忆》。头脑灵光又认真却总是很难伺候的漱石，与心直口快又落落大方的镜子，两个性格迥异的人是怎样构筑一个家庭的，本剧就是从镜子的视角展现了这一点。 　　尾野真千子饰演出身于富裕家庭、在相亲中对夏目漱石一见钟情的镜子， 长谷川博己则饰演这位日本文学史上的著名人物。除此之外，黑岛结菜、满岛真之介、竹中直人、馆博等演员也将加盟。

同作は、テレビ熊本による「郷土の偉人」シリーズの第32作。熊本で家族を持ち、娘が生まれ、多くの俳句を詠み、文豪としての精神的ルーツを育んだ漱石が、同地で過ごした4年余りの日々がつづられる。
