穷困的男童Sun Jae(Oh Tae Kyung饰)因丧父而寻母，在路途上遇上了不少人而最後成道。殓葬父亲时遇上了少女Iryon，而决心上路寻母找真实；到城市之夜中得酒肉僧指点，得男子Ji Ho(申铉濬饰)所助，使他在海边依靠了跛脚的行医者而悟出「大海为净」(最平等)，「有等于 无」之大道；从孤儿身中望远镜来看宇宙奇观，得知宇宙的「无限与虚无」；跟着歌声而认识了亦爱亦恨的盲女(袁美敬饰)，利用了来三年来偷了三只牛的「贪欲」作为手段，以此求见四十年囚中高人。Sun Jae出囚後随波逐流还是继续上路？再次巧遇长大後的Iryon(Kim Eun Mi饰)而发生了一段情，体会了「男女之间的爱欲」，他没有停下来，而Sun Jae孤身上路，继续寻求因果报应…… 　　究竟Sun Jae可否凭着一张旧棉被而寻母？他的妈妈仍在生吗？在故事终结时，意再不在此了。Sun Jae的奇遇，虽然不可与释迦牟尼佛由凡人成道之路相比，但也极为相像，終於頓悟原來自己一心想尋找的母親原來恰恰是世間萬象。

施拉德在萨拉热窝电影节上表示，他已经确定了下一个项目。这部电影名为《哲学基础》，他已经写好了大纲，并计划在未来三个月内完成剧本创作。 　　施拉德说，这部电影讲述的是“一位知识分子大学哲学教授”的故事。他还补充说，这部影片的风格将与他最近《第一归正会》《算牌人》《园艺大师》组成的"房间里的男人"三部曲相同。

Entretien entre Georges Canguilhem, Michel Foucault, Jean Hyppolite, Paul Ricœur, avec Alain Badiou et Dina Dreyfus. 　　C’est à l’occasion de l’émission Philosophie et vérité, colloque réunissant cinq philosophes autour de Dina Dreyfus, que les propositions de mise en image ont été les plus abouties. D’une durée plus importante que les autres, presque une heure, et avec un budget plus conséquent, cette émission a permis à Jean Fléchet de mêler échanges en studio et tournage en extérieur. 　　C’est la volonté de proposer une image et des échanges plus spontanés, loin d’une simple table ronde, qui a été développée. Et même si la technique n’a pu totalement se faire oublier, l’exercice a permis la mise en forme d’un débat philosophique plus vivant, plus ancré dans l’instant présent.
