”Kohta 18” (Almost 18), director and writer Maarit Lalli’s first feature film, has received positive responses from critics and audiences. The film tells five boys’ distinct yet interconnected stories. The common denominator for the stories is not only the boys’ friendship, but the struggles they face with their parents and themselves, while they are pursuing independence. In essence the movie is about youth as well as friend and family relationships. 　　The film manages to depict the lives of these five boys in Helsinki from a fresh perspective – the main characters are not troubled or extraordinary youths, but instead quite normal young men with everyday problems. 一个流浪汉捡到一张电影票，他决定去看这场电影。他就此遭遇 了电影院令人无奈的真相:漫长的广告以及放映期间说话、打手 机、亲热和睡觉的观众。自此，一系列错乱复杂的事件即将改变 他的一生。 　　A vagabond finds by chance a movie ticket, he decides to go to the movie. Inside the movie theatre he will find out the reality of the movie theatres: long commercials, people who talk and use the phone, make out, and sleep during the movie. This will grow to a series of events that will change the reality of his life forever.
