Through the lives and beliefs of four generations of preachers, the film reflects on the profound influence of 50 years of social change on the local church. Whether recounting personal setbacks encountered on the serving path or people’s weaknesses, growth, or disputes within the church community, the film becomes a neutral and faithful portrayal of a group of preachers, of the history of the church community and of the status-quo of belief in this faithless era. 　　导演阐释： 　　Director’s commentary: 　　完成了生存三部曲之后，开始拍基督教。随着拍摄的不断深入，原先对信仰的纯粹想象完全被颠覆。或许只有上帝是全备的，人都有缺憾和软弱，传道人一样要面对复杂的社会现实和生存压力。因此，也使得纪录下来的传道人群像更为真实和鲜活，离我们并不遥远。 　　After completing the “Survival Trilogy”, I started to shoot material on the Christian religion. As my interest in the subject deepened through the filming, the original and clear-cut image I had about faith became completely overturned. Perhaps it is only God who is fully equipped and all people have shortcomings and weaknesses, and so the preachers, in the same way, have to face a complex social reality and the pressures to survive. Consequently, the characters of the group come through as more real and dynamic, and not so far-flung from us.

罗德尼·麦克米利安（Rodney McMillian）跨学科的实践追溯了美国历史与当代文化之间的密切联系。通过解构权威叙事，麦克米利安认为，艺术或能作为一种抵抗形式，开辟新的未来。《传道者》以表演的方式重释了桑·拉（Sun Ra）的思想。麦克米利安身穿美国传教士的传统黑色套装，打着领带，戴着宽檐帽，坐在空地的一把椅子上朗诵，内容是桑·拉与诗人约翰·辛克莱尔（John Sinclair）1966年访谈等内容的改编。

贫苦的小镇上，传教士极力想解救痛苦的灵魂，却受尽镇民讪笑怒骂。小镇青年在损友的怂恿下，逐渐步入犯罪边缘，笃信上帝的女友也随之陷入绝望，传教士及时阻止年轻人的犯行，并缓缓道出自己的荒唐过去。 　　为了凸显明星魅力，影片甚至以演员研读剧本、揣摩角色开场，并在背景投射出主角在片中的剧情转折。因为欧洲各地民情的差异，结局便拍了三种版本，三种结局也反映出丹麦、俄罗斯、瑞典完全不同的民族性。

深蓝色的背影空间里，一个从地面上出现的红色立方体在慢慢上浮着。音乐突然转调，节奏明快。配合着音乐的步调，地面上涌出突然多个红色立方体。它们以不同的阵型漂移、跳舞，层出不穷，交叠错落。继而空间里慢慢出现了彩色的条纹，它们从有棱有角的形状转换成圆形和圆柱的形状。这些红色的立方体，就像是音乐的脉动，在不断伸展和变化着。电影的高潮部分，就是这些形态各异的圆形“人物”，生长和消失在一个梦幻般的天空中。红色的立方柱渐渐吞噬了整个空间，深蓝色的背景变成一片红色。 　　本部制作于1935年的抽象先锋动画短片，由德国导演奥斯卡·费钦格执导。奥斯卡一直致力于将动态的抽象几何图形达到可视化的戏剧效果。二十世纪三十年代初期，奥斯卡开始尝试制作同期声的实验影片，试图找出动态的绘画图案与音乐情绪之间的内在联系。《蓝色构图》就是一部画面动作严格与音乐同步的实验影片。本片成为2006年6月在Annecy国际动画电影节上评选出的“动画的世纪·100部作品”的第36名。1935年他凭借本部彩色动画片《蓝色乐曲》获得威尼斯和布鲁塞尔电影节大奖。

With baseball being the last thing on these player's minds, and dealing with one of the longest losing streaks in college history, the team of misfits comes to the realization that the school, led by the corrupt and unethical President of the University, has plans to disband the entire program. Hilarity ensues as they have one afternoon to execute a plan to fill the stadium, sign the top recruit on the planet, and help send their coach out with a bang.

Two generations of professional baseball players return for a reunion game at one of their minor league stops en route to the big leagues. Unbeknownst to them, the owner of the club, on his way to a month of rustic living in the high Asian elevations, and desiring a connection to home, arranges an inducement to get the players to reveal novel anecdotes from their past 'on and off the field' baseball lives. The only apparent commonality between the two groups is their success on the ball field, each team providing the locals with the only two minor league championships for the small town nestled in the valley of the Allegheny Mountains.
