佐野和官田是儿时好友，他们一同在面朝太平洋的度假酒店旅行。宫田痴迷于阴谋论，并试图说服佐野相信他的想法，但佐野并不认同，因此两人发生了争执。宫田的电话整天响个不停，佐野失去耐心，接了电话。电话是宫田的父亲打来的，他说话含糊不清，似乎是因为痴呆症。佐野困惑地挂断电话，并试图和宫田一起回家，但令宫田不解的现象接二连三地出现…

Sano and Miyata, two childhood friends, are on a trip together in a resort hotel facing the Pacific Ocean. Miyata is devoted to conspiracy theories and he tries to get Sano to believe this idea. But Sano doesn't believe it, and they fight. As Miyata's phone keeps ringing all day, Sano loses patience and takes the call. It was a phone call from Miyata's father, who was saying unintelligible things, probably from dementia. Sano hangs up the phone in confusion and tries to go home with Miyata.

在Botelho的<想做美国总统的女人>(2003)和这部里选了很久,最后决定选这部成名作,其实两部都很幽默,他是葡萄牙当代最好的超现实喜剧片导演. 　　Maybe the best Portuguese movie ever done, "Tráfico" is a sad, sad portrait of the modern Portugal and (if there is such a thing, since Portuguese mentality seems have not changed in 800 years), in spite of its sarcastic, even surrealistic mood, a very dark and dejected film, at least for Portuguese viewers. Very funny too (yet,with a kind of humor whose nuances risks sometimes to escape unnoticed by foreign ears), with some of the more sharp-witted sayings and situations I ever saw in cinema. The dialogue with the Portuguese culture it's ever present, making of it a movie that just can be fully understood by an autochton. Notwithstanding - don't miss this masterpiece.

沃尔特马修在片中饰演了一名叫特拉布柯的职业杀手。他接到任务要在拉迪去法院出庭作证时将其杀死灭口。当特拉布柯从法院大楼外他准备下手的地点离开回旅馆的途中，遇到了沮丧的维克多克鲁尼（Jack Lemmon饰），为他的妻子赛丽亚（Paula Prentiss饰）为了一个奇怪的加利福尼亚州性诊所的所长离他而去而悲痛不已。特拉布柯回到旅馆房间并把来复枪安顿好。但住在隔壁的维克多扰得他心神不宁。维克多试图将自己吊死在房间里。特拉布柯弄断了维克多上吊用的绳子，不料维克多由爬到了窗外准备跳楼自杀。为劝回维克多，特拉布柯只得同意陪同维克多去加州找他的妻子。二人来到诊所，发现妻子已经不可救药的爱上了奇怪的医生雅克布洛特，并正准备提起离婚诉讼。维克多决定回旅馆继续自杀，赛丽亚和医生也暗中尾随而至，计划给维克多注射一针镇定剂，却阴差阳错地将针头插进了特拉布柯地身上。特拉布柯将自己刺杀拉迪的任务告诉了维克多，维克多打消了自杀念头，决定帮他完成刺杀任务。
