Four unrelated short comedies by four different directors. “Queen Sabina”chronicles the sexual misadventures of a teenage girl on the road home. “Queen Armenia” centers on a self-serving opportunistic gypsy babysitter who uses her employer’s kids for her own gain. The third episode, “Queen Elena centers on a husband who learns a lesson about the perils of infidelity after he succumbs to the wiles of the seductive wife next door. The last vignette, “Queen Marta” centers on a wealthy woman who, when drunk, uses her butler as an outlet for her lust.

Three working girls in Budapest pool their resources to get a better apartment and impress their dates. One dates a nobleman and, learning of her rejection by him, considers poison. Another drinks the poison by mistake and lands a physician for herself. The third marries a businessman. The first girl gets a shop of her own.

"Four Hours in My Lai" is a documentary film made by Yorkshire Television in England concerning an infamous massacres of Vietnamese civilians in Tu Cung sub-hamlet, better known to the US Army as My Lai (4) and commonly referred to as "Pinksville", on 16th March 1968. This massacre was carried out by "Charlie Company" - members of C Company, 1st battalion, 20th Infantry, 11th Light Infantry Brigade of the US Army. The film-makers interview participants in and survivors of the tragedy, trying to understand how such an atrocity could have happened. Written by doire1962

At once raw and eloquent, Twenty-Four-Dollar Island seems unfinished, and it may well have been. Very little is known except that parts of it were eventually used as a backdrop for a New York stage show. We also know that Rebecca Strand, wife of photographer Paul Strand, mentions seeing the film in August 1925 in an air-conditioned movie theater. The film as presented here sources from two different copies, one more complete version held at Eye Film Institute in Amsterdam, and the other from Gosfilmofond of Russia showing that the film circulated there as late as 1929. What we see is an artist’s infatuated with the Manhattan skyline shot with telephotos lenses. Views shot from the same camera positions are organized into visual clusters, and closer inspection reveals a vague attempt at organization, wherein Flaherty looks at what is in front of him to explore the space from slightly different angles.
