小草蜢、蝴蝶、小蜘蛛这三只原本居住在森林里的小昆虫，阴差阳错地闯入了大都市。为了逃离这里回到家乡，它们齐心协力，各自发挥自身长处，在水塔、下水道和扫地机器人之间穿梭，一同寻找回家的路。影片采用3D动画与实景拍摄相结合的方式，全片没有对白，仅让观众跟随这三只小昆虫的脚步，在熟悉的台湾街景中展开一场水泥丛林大探险。影片除了充满童趣与灵性、惊险万分之外，小昆虫探寻自我的旅程还富有教育意义。
