从小就生活在不幸中的幸江（中谷美纪 饰），结婚后依然过着苦情女的生活，丈夫（阿部宽 饰）不仅没有工作、嗜酒豪赌成性，还经常对她粗鲁相待，但幸江始终死心塌地地坚守在丈夫身边，不管看不下去的邻居劝她离婚，也不管有钱店主的求爱，在她看来，只要和丈夫在一起就是人生最大的幸福。直到有一天，刑满出狱的父亲（西田敏行 是）出现在幸江面前，生活开始发生变化。

在叔叔（大堀こういち 饰）经营的电影制作公司“空蝉”打工的爱子（矢岛舞美 饰），偶然从仓库里发现一卷尘封已久的录影带。录影带标题为《僵尸学入门》，制作年份始自20世纪60年代。她和恐怖爱好者的同事桥本（宫崎吐梦 饰）一同观看，里面介绍了关于僵尸的各种对治办法。残酷与真实的影像，让爱子和桥本不寒而栗。与此同时，外面的世界正酝酿着一场巨变。一对姐妹（鸟居美雪 & 中岛早贵 饰）率领着僵尸军团横扫日本，为全国带来了前所未有的灾难与恐慌。全然不知情的爱子在此期间，意外遭到被僵尸病毒感染的客户的袭击。她和桥本逃入叔叔经营的另一间公司躲藏，然而僵尸军团却将他们的大楼团团包围。走投无路之际，爱子他们决定按照《僵尸学入门》上的方法，与恐怖的敌人展开殊死搏斗…… 　　本片于2011年制作完成，但在灵媒师的建议下推迟两年发行。
