动画师兼插画师Malcolm Sutherland是加拿大人，他早期在亚伯达艺术设计学院学习版画，在2002年搬到蒙特利尔在National Film Board of Canada (NFB)电影公司担任动画导演，并在康考迪亚大学学习电影制作，Malcolm绘制了漫画书《OOLA DUG》，并在近期制作了一部动画《The Astronomers Dream》，该片的预告片已在其官网上发布，该片的角色设计带有浓重的版画风格，角色造型迥异。故事讲述了一个饥饿的天文学家在工作中遇到了一个难题，他还没解决就睡着了，在梦中他发现解决问题的方法不在外太空，而是在他潜意识的超现实食物链中……
