And a woman reads a letter from the man she has recently left. They are all waiting for their flight. 　　The departure hall is a place of transit. People are between the here and there, between the “not yet” and the “no more”. Schanelec places four couples amid the crowds of waiting passengers; the camera observes them, often from a distance. But their conversations can be heard; the ear is closer than the eye. Intimate islands of dialogue amid hectic activity. The tremendous background noise does them no harm until the music comes and infects the whole room. Cat Power sings “Remember Me”, reinforcing the atmosphere of longing, separation and transitoriness that already lingers in the air. Later, the off-screen monologue of a dying, loving man adds to it. “Love Will Tear Us Apart” – that’s what’s written at the beginning on a record cover. A farewell film.

故事的开始，Anna被派到上海工作。她在新加坡本有个小情人Billy，小她两岁，但跟做财经的Anna南辕北辙。Billy是玩地下音乐的，日间做小食店厨子。Billy喜欢Anna，但却知她对自己并不认真。对Anna而言，Billy的存在只能令她更深切体会到根本无人可以替代欧阳。至于思雨，她同样没有一个幸福的家庭。欧阳年少时曾为国宝，乃钢琴高手，无奈压力加上家族遗传，最终患上抑郁症。曾是天之骄子的他，如今只能成为二手琴行的调音师。一对小夫妻，茫茫相对，命运的悲剧已令他们的爱情消磨殆尽。Anna暗羡慕思雨的同时，却忘记了她的苦，而思雨暗羡慕Anna的同时，也忘记了Anna背後的苦。 　　两人初次在上海街头重遇，还以为是两人长得相似而已。她们以为欧阳不是娶了个像他前女友Anna的思雨，就是结识了个像他太太思雨的Anna。所以一开始两个女人还比较长短，殊不知她们本属同一个人。故事发展下去，她们才发觉彼此同名同姓同年同月同日生之外，也有着同样的童年及经历。她们回忆起早在8岁遇溺的那年，她们亦分过一次身，只是那次维持了次数秒，而这次，却维持了10年。这次的分身不是因为遇溺，而是10年前欧阳第一次发病，两人大吵起来，在极度刺激之下，她分了身而不自知了。 　　当她们得知她们是同属一人时，她们惊愕之余，便想到她们可互换身份3天。Anna挂念欧阳，而思雨却是厌倦了欧阳，想有个短暂假期了。两人各得其所，但原本3天的交换，却几乎变成永远的交换。因为Anna开始认为，她是可以跟欧阳重新开始的，便偷偷将思雨的身份文件收起，想以后取代了她的位置。而思雨也有同样想法，她偷偷把Anna的工作辞掉，又变卖了她在新加坡的物业，因为她一直怪Anna当年离开欧阳，使自己留了下来，虽然这是十分不合逻辑的道理，思雨觉得她要拾回Anna令她失去的10年。 　　当她们都以为可以改变自己当年命运，再重新选择一次时，她们才发现重新选择的结果都是一样的。Anna方面，欧阳旧病复发，如蜜月般的3天假期结束後，她发觉犹如噩梦重演，于是如10年前一样，她选择了放弃欧阳，虽然她有多爱他。而至于思雨，虽然她秘密回新加坡，偷走Anna的财物甚至那个男友Billy，到了最后她依然是选择了回到上海留在欧阳身边。

因为工作的关系，Anna（林嘉欣 饰）到了上海工作。她与蛋糕师Billy一直保持暧昧的关系，Billy很喜欢她，可是Anna心里一直记挂着前男友欧阳（陆毅 饰）。 　　因为一副画的原因，Anna与自己相貌完全一样的思雨（林嘉欣 饰）。思雨买了一副自己丈夫欧阳的画，店员却送到了Anna的住处，两个人就此相识了。她们爱着的是同一个男人，欧阳本来是个钢琴家，却患上了忧郁症，思雨本来是名画家，为了丈夫她放弃了自己的爱好。 　　Anna在网上查找到，她们是彼此的分身。8岁时她们曾在溺水时看到了一个相同的自己。十年前的堕胎经历，她们再次分成了两个相同的人，相同的名字，相同的生日，相同的遭遇，维持了十年直到她们遇见。 　　这时候，她们决定互换身份三天。因为Anna想再一次与欧阳生活，思雨也厌倦了欧阳。可是她们各有思想，Anna想代替思雨，思雨则想取代Anna的身份，离开欧阳。欧阳发病，也让Anna想起了十年前与欧阳分手的情景，她也发现了思雨的阴谋……
