背景讲述一群20多岁的年青人，因为前大学校友神秘失踪而再次重聚。

影片围绕这一组生活在黑暗中的问题少年而展开的，他们都被一只叫做Labby的会说话的狗所抓到，并且带着他们乘坐了不同时间和大小的地狱之车。在月食的夜晚，Labby告诉汤米他母亲腹中的是魔鬼的胎儿。同一个晚上，他试图帮助拉尔夫追求街对面的一个女孩，而那个女孩则很不情愿地生活在父亲的情色录像交易中。再加上一个生活在废弃教堂内的窃贼瘾君子……

Two retired insurance salesmen have been visiting the scenes of accidents and crimes, feeling that they have a responsibility to learn why such things happen. One of them has found an aggressive, hostile woman whom he considers to be a prime candidate for a personal disaster. On a blisteringly hot day, the two follow her as she does some shopping, and watch as she antagonizes several persons. After some discussion, they decide to take a chance on helping her, and they go up to her apartment to talk to her.

While Mishima has just committed suicide in public, two couples accidentally meet in an inn in the countryside: the man and the woman, now with different companions,had known each other years ago…
