晚娘生产时，七个孩子中前六个被接生婆谎报为死婴，笙笙凭借鸿运锦鲤的能力保住性命。晚娘发现楚云朗的不忠与苏玉儿的奸计，笙笙还通过心声告知母亲娘家的危机。在林府枯井事件中，母女俩巧妙设计，将埋有皇帝生辰八字的危机转化为求雨的契机，成功化解林家困境，还让楚云朗受到惩罚。
