很多人觉得乡土文学题材的电影，大多是女人的苦命戏，如果看了这部电影，可以说这是我看过最悲惨的剧情片，没有之一。王泽明（江明饰）是个残疾人，没有经济来源，家里有三个孩子要上学，王的妻子梅竹（胡慧中饰）决定到都市挣钱去。可后来梅杳无音信，邻里都说梅跟人跑了，王于是开始仇恨他的妻子。儿子永生因为没钱交资料费，怕同学嘲笑，便逃学跟小混混一块。没想到导演竟然给到永生吸烟的镜头，让人看的触目惊心。小女儿小娟被父亲卖掉，让大女儿小珍骨肉分离，哭的惨绝人寰。父亲觉得自己不是人便投江自杀。梅终于现身，自己消失的这十个月全在监狱度过。原来梅在做服务员的时候出于防卫用花瓶打死了强暴他的嫖客（马沙饰）而入狱。梅为了救永生被小混混差点一榔头砸死，幸好最后是救了回来，最终孩子也跟妈妈相认。

35岁的芭蕾舞演员欧阳婕突然遭遇舞团裁员，家庭中也发生重大变故。陷入绝境的她在偶然的机会下，到云南的古茶树林中寻找新的启发。

结束了一天的劳作，小老鼠杰瑞下班回家。他通过暗道来到收音机前打开旋钮。顿时激烈奔放的音乐响起，接下来他依靠在自家的沙发前，优哉游哉看起了报纸。少顷，汤姆也下班回家，他坐在沙发上看报纸，随手关掉了吵闹的音乐。由此，两个小家伙发生分歧。正在此时，收音机插播一条快讯，马戏团一只狗熊逃了出来，这只狗熊不会伤人，唯一的特点就是听到音乐就会跳舞。狗熊路过汤姆的家，他跳的院子里，找来一只苹果大快朵颐。汤姆发现了这个家伙欣喜过旺，正打算打电话通报领取奖金。谁知气愤的杰瑞刚好打开音乐。听到音乐的狗熊兴高采烈，拉着汤姆跳了起来。 　　也因此，一段好玩有趣的故事上演……
