日本怪談選集系列《怪談餐館（暫譯，怪談レストラン）》將被製作成電視動畫，並預定於今年 10 月開始播映。自 1996 年開始發行的《怪談餐館》是由日本兒童文學作家 松谷美代子擔任主編，以「恐怖但是有趣」的作品為主題，將日本的民間傳說、校園以及世界怪談編輯成冊，至 2007 年為止就出版了 50 集，受到許多中、小學生的喜愛。 　　而因為作品以「餐館」為主題，因此每集的動畫都將分為「前菜」、「主菜」以及「甜點」三段故事來播放，作品以小學六年級的「大空 AKO（アコ）」為主角，描述他與身旁的朋友所遇到的各種奇妙事情。
