《安德烈˙谢尼埃》是意大利作曲家翁贝托˙焦尔达诺于1896年创作的一部浪漫主义歌剧。它以18世纪后半叶的巴黎为舞台，讲述了著名诗人和政治家安德烈˙谢尼埃的生平事迹。　　安德烈˙谢尼埃与伯爵夫人的女儿玛达莱娜相互爱慕，投身革命的仆人杰拉尔德亦暗恋玛达莱娜。革命爆发之后，玛达莱娜和谢尼埃处境艰难，并且遭密探监视。杰拉尔德为引出玛达莱娜逮捕了谢尼埃，玛达莱娜却表示愿为救出谢尼埃与杰拉尔德成婚。杰拉尔德被她崇高的爱感动，意图协助她救出谢尼埃，却失败而终，谢尼埃被宣判为死刑。玛达莱娜为与爱人一同赴死，买通看守顶替被判处死刑的女囚。在高昂的音乐中，两人被送上了断头台。

Sauveur Giordano est une série télévisée française créée par Christine Miller, diffusée entre le 3 septembre 2001 et le 1er octobre 2007 sur TF1, et sur la TSR en Suisse, et rediffusée sur Série Club et Direct 8. En désaccord avec sa hiérarchie, pour incompatibilité d'esprit et de méthode, Sauveur Giordano a quitté sa fonction de numéro deux à la Brigade des mineurs. Par réflexe citoyen, il choisit de se mettre au service de l'association d'aide aux victimes "Ultime défense", tenue par Louise Ventura. Il y exerce ses talents de détective en solo pour sauver les plus démunis dont il est le dernier recours. Giordano est un franc-tireur dont les activités se heurtent aux enquêtes officielles de la police. Le conflit est alors inévitable. Volker Schlöndorff transposes Bertolt Brecht’s late-expressionist work to latter-day 1969. Poet and anarchist Baal lives in an attic and reads his poems to cab drivers. At first feted and later rejected by bourgeois society, Baal roams through forests and along motorways, greedy for schnapps, cigarettes, women and men: ‘You have to let out the beast, let him out into the sunlight.’ After impregnating a young actress he soon comes to regard her as a millstone round his neck. He stabs a friend to death and dies alone. ‘You are useless, mangy and wild, you beast, you crawl through the lowest boughs of the tree.’ The film takes youthful impetuousness and hatred of oppression as its subject and also ponders the cult of genius and sexual morals. Rainer Werner Fassbinder simultaneously plays both Baal and himself and is surrounded by many actors who were later to perform in his own films. After the film was broadcast on West German television, Brecht’s widow Helene Weigel prohibited any further screenings, arguing that the social circumstances engendering Baal’s rebelliousness had not been adequately explained.
