观众将在来自英国的美食调查员大米的带领下，领略丝路风光，共同感受蕴藏在美食背后神奇的丝路文化和灿烂历史，在强大的传播影响力基础上实现丝路文化、中国故事的国际表达。 　　美食、美景、风情、故事，备受关注的大型电视纪录片《面面大观——丝绸之路上的面食》即将于2017年9月4日在中央电视台纪录频道播出。该纪录片是系列纪录片《面面大观》的第一季作品，作品采用全新的户外纪实类节目制作模式，以明快的叙事节奏、活泼的讲述语言、逼真的影像风格来满足受众的观赏期待，聚焦于丝路沿线多样的面食文化，从美食看生活，从美食讲丝路。

以丝绸之路的自然风光和风土人情为背景，沿丝路古道选取了西安、合阳、乌鲁木齐、吐鲁番、河西走廊、宁夏回族自治区等区域内典型的生活场景与人物故事，经过大量的纪实性影像拍摄、多层次的叙事表达，真实记录了丝路沿线丰富的面食文化及所体现的传统精神和乡土情怀，在充分挖掘丝绸之路上人与面食的不解情缘中探寻文化的交流与融合。

「大觀」位於新北市板橋區。此作使用手機拍攝，捕捉純粹的浮動頻率，紀錄大觀這個地域瞬息流動的當下。鏡頭遊走於大觀街巷，不以敘事為目的，許多湧動的瞬間得以被銘刻，引領觀者體驗影像的力量。讓我們一同浸泡於此。
