台东圣贤宫，一间小庙，两名练八家将的少年，日常的生活样貌。影片藉由几个练将少年在庙里参与八家将活动和现实生活的遭遇，来观看台东的生活环境、庙堂的八家将文化，甚至黑道生态。扮成家将便成为神明，卸下神明的装扮，则回归少年的身份，导演近身跟拍练将少年，纪录他们这一年中的转变，不加旁白诠释，也不做价值判断。
