本與同事出差到山區, 因事與山地人發生衝突, 本昏迷被琴救回家中, 醒來感激琴照顧而互生情愫. 本之公司董事長女兒秀秀, 與琴長得一模一樣, 且故意親近本. 在財富前途與愛情之間, 本仍堅持不低頭. 原來秀秀這富家女, 假扮山地女子琴與本相戀, 為試愛郎真情, 連同父親多次考驗本之品格及專一, 證明秀秀眼光獨到. 本專一且老實, 最後甘心放棄前途, 到山地找愛人琴, 琴終於透露真身份, 差點兒氣壞愛郎, 幸好大團圓結局.
