2013年7月24日宣布要拍摄真人电影版，由及川拓郎担任监督与编剧，确定于2014年3月21日上映。

混血儿羽濑川小鹰（濑户康史 饰）因为天生金发和眼神凶狠的原因，所到之处总会引来不必要的纷争和误解。他转学至圣克罗尼亚学园高中部已经三个月，却始终独来独往，没交到一个朋友。某天他放学后在教室看到了正和空气朋友说话的女同学三日月夜空（北乃纪伊 饰）。以此为机缘，两个被周遭疏离的怪人相互熟稔。夜空突发奇想，成立了旨在帮助孤独之人交到朋友的邻人部，除了被迫入部的小鹰外，众星捧月的巨乳妹柏崎星奈（大谷澪 饰）、崇拜小鹰的美少年楠幸村（高月彩良 饰）、妄想症严重的天才少女志熊理科（神定真央 饰）以及小鹰那中二病深度患者的妹妹小鸠（久保田纱友 饰）和10岁的修女高山玛丽亚（山田萌萌香 饰）相继入部。快乐的日子很快过去，就在邻人部遭到废部没多久，意外在星奈身上发生了…… 　　本片根据平坂读的轻小说改编。

本作收录于2011年9月22日随原作第7卷特装版发售的同捆DVD，是早于TV动画第一季发行的原创作品（第0话）。

早前在TV动画还未放送前，本作推出过OAD作品，这也达到了非常不错的预热效果，而在今日举办的「我的朋友很少 Premium Event」上，有关本作新作动画的情报得到披露——OVA「我的朋友很少 Add-on Disk」发售决定!官方推特也发表了OVA的相关信息，此次的OVA作品将是TV未放送的第13话，发售日期定在了今年的9月26日。至于OVA的剧情如何，要待官方日后的发表了，各位敬请期待吧!
