五代初年，天下大乱。《血盟千年》由“史”切人，沿着湘西文明史，为江西彭氏一族进入湘西、主政湘西、融入湘西，演绎了一段与湘西文明进程休戚相关的传奇史诗。 支撑全刷主脉叙事的，是彭士愁与三个女人，一是彭士愁的初恋三千小姐，二是应父王“血盟”意旨下嫁彭士愁的楚国郡主马希贞，三是溪州土家吴著冲的公主丝兰。一男三女，构成了全刷最重要的人物关系。追随着彭士愁作别江西古州，踏入湘西辰州、溪州的脚步，三个女人你方唱罢她登场，来来去去，缠缠绕绕，各有各的心思，爷有各的表达，随时随地皆有戏。

岩波映画の撮影隊は一九六六年八月から翌年二月まで、北京、瀋陽、撫順、鞍山、長春、ハルピンなど中国の東北地方に滞在し、約八万フィートに及ぶフィルムを使用して中国の現状を長編記録映画に収めた。脚本・演出を担当した時枝俊江は「諏訪」で昭和四一年観光映画コンクール最優秀賞を獲得した俊英女流監督で、長編ドキュメンタリーとしてはこれが第一作目である。撮影はＰＲ映画、ドキュメンタリーを手がけている藤瀬季彦と、新人渡辺重治が担当した。

中立国挪威二战爆发时期。 英国记者洛克伍德（拉尔夫理查森），在纳粹入侵挪威时被迫回国，接受陆军部的任务，返回被占领的地区。洛克伍德的此行目的是为皇家空军偷袭一艘伪装的德国U艇基地而返回。 在挪威的爱国海员芬利柯里的帮助下，洛克伍德完成他的使命。（二战电影馆）

When transplanted Texan Bob Seton arrives in Lawrence, Kansas, he finds much to like about the place--especially Mary McCloud, daughter of the local banker, but politics is in the air: it's just prior to the Civil War and there is already a sharp division in the Territory as to whether it will remain slavery-free. When he gets the opportunity to run for marshal, Seton finds himself running against respected local schoolteacher William Cantrell. Not all is what it seems, though: While acting as the upstanding citizen in public, Cantrell is dangerously ambitious and prepared to do anything to make his mark, and his fortune, on the Territory. When he loses the race for marshal, he forms a group of raiders who run guns into the territory and rob and terrorize settlers throughout the territory. Eventually donning Confederate uniforms, it is left to Seton and the good citizens of Lawrence to face Cantrell and his raiders in one final clash.

During the First World War, British combat pilot Dick Courtney mocks his commanding officer Major Brand for being too cautious, unaware that Brand is tormented by the requirement of his command that he send young men to their likely deaths in substandard aircraft and with insufficient training. When Brand is transferred, Courtney becomes the commanding officer and quickly realizes the burden Brand labored under. When Courtney's best friend, Douglas Scott, asks him to spare his newly arrived and inexperienced brother Gordon Scott from combat duty, Courtney cannot justify doing so. A rift grows between the friends as Courtney realizes the tragic demands of his job.
