He’s soon captured and placed in solitary confinement for six months—not an easy situation for a young, middle-class man who’s struggled all his life with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Generations is a 30 minute16mm film about mentoring and passing on the tradition of personal experimental film making. Barbara Hammer, 70 years old, hands the camera to Gina Carducci, a young queer filmmaker. Shooting during the last days of Astroland at Coney Island, New York, the filmmakers find that the inevitable fact of aging echoes in the architecture of the amusement park and in the emulsion of the film medium itself. Editing completely separately both picture and sound, the filmmakers join their films in the middle when they have finished making a true generational and experimental experiment.

The playful film 1+1+1 shot on classical (old fashioned?) 16mm medium deals with the idea of progress. Progress is an issue that is becoming more and more pressing in these times of crisis developing to crisis developing to crisis – maybe progress of crisis? With a leap in the technologisation of life, but also growing inequalities and various tensions. We love progress, improvements, advances, growth. Is there a space for another loves? The film integrates situational acting with joyful elements of musical with meetings mostly writers and intellectuals in their natural environment. The story progresses through a road movie (sometimes a walk movie) – the journey of three main fictional characters.

An extraordinary black comedy that explores the limits of survival and absurdist political power games. The story takes place in times of elections in Mexico. A candidate for Governor runs over a pregnant migrant. After the accident, and to avoid a possible scandal, he hides her in a building he owns. Pressured by his political boss and so as not to ruin his political career, the candidate evicts the migrant. In a non-realistic style, the film focuses on the stories that surround the migrant during her search for a room. A radical film, with a critical gaze, that reflects the spirit of contemporary Mexican society.
