《同人WORK》中，主人公长菜被朋友露里鼓动，而决定踏入同人志发售会，在现场又受到青梅竹马的漫画大作家justice的影响，开始了同人志创作。而作为新人的长菜，对于满画的绘制自然是异常苦手，虽然志向远大，但离制作出大作为目标的远大理想显然还有一条非常漫长的道路。于是，她与朋友们就一起过着，乱来又快乐的每一天……（喂喂，不要逃避现实噶）。与同为4格漫画改编的《阿兹漫画大王》动画相比，此作还避免了毕业危机，毫无可圈可点之处的长菜只是我们身边的普通人，所以这故事可以慢慢地制作下去，直到长菜实现她的梦想为止。

主人公·长菜奈寺美被同级生露理诱惑参加了同人志的贩售会。在那里奈寺美第一次接受到同人文化的冲击。在露理和已是同人界超级人气作家的幼年玩伴Justice的影响下，奈寺美也开始了自己的同人活动，不过由于完全是外行人，所以技术完全不行。不过奈寺美并没有因此而灰心，反而向着人气漫画家的方向努力前进，与各种奇怪的朋友一起过着充实的每一天。

Shooting during the last days of Astroland at Coney Island, New York, the filmmakers find that the inevitable fact of aging echoes in the architecture of the amusement park and in the emulsion of the film medium itself. Editing completely separately both picture and sound, the filmmakers join their films in the middle when they have finished making a true generational and experimental experiment.
