In “Spaces #2”, 7 internationally acclaimed directors shot, after commissioning by the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, a short film at home, making their own timely comment on the new reality that we live in. The project is inspired by the book "Species of Spaces" by the French novelist, filmmaker, documentalist, and essayist, Georges Perec and the days of quarantine. 　　The idea is to create a film at home, using the environment, the people or the animals in that space. The only outdoor areas that may be used are outdoor living spaces, such as the terrace, the garden, the balcony and the stairwell. 　　The films are directed by: Tarik Aktaş, Mateo Bendesky, Denis Côté, Rachel Leah Jones, Radu Jude, John Carroll Lynch, Jia Zhang-ke.

乌云密布，崎岖不平的山峦之间，狩猎的男人刚打死了一只猫头鹰。猫头鹰中枪身亡，坠落林间。一个神秘的长发女人正在屋内梳妆打扮，面露一丝诡异的表情。屋外，枯败的树根交错盘旋，仿佛一个黑暗恐怖的亡灵之境。狩猎者再次带上他的猎犬上路了。浓雾弥漫的林间，无数死去猫头鹰的羽翼漫天飘零。男人变成了麋鹿。室内，女人起床梳洗。窗外微风拂面，她看见远处森林里的麋鹿。女人变成了猫头鹰。猫头鹰开始猎杀麋鹿，一场血腥的厮杀。女人胜利了。然而屋外不断蔓延着的枯树，更加肆无忌惮的生长，好似预示着什么事情并没有终结。暴雨倾盆的洞穴里，男人正在等待雨停，继续猎杀猫头鹰。 　　这部风格诡秘阴郁，画面凝重粗糙的无对白动画短片，改编自威尔士一则民间传说。

A group of artists’ lives becomes unwittingly entangled as their obsessions and insecurities manifest monsters, demons and death.

Spring 1989. High up in the Indian Himalayas, where even the birds fly low to avoid getting lost in the clouds, the soft-spoken Dev owns a sprawling estate of several orchards and lives in a colonial-style house with his family. He spends a lot of his time building human-sized wings which he puts on to take a quick morning flight over his land. One day, while walking through the estate, he discovers a single burnt apple tree. A few days later, more trees are burnt. Dev and his manager monitor the workers on the plantations and this leads to unrest. A group of nomads comes under suspicion and a corrupt police officer gets involved, while loyal men camp out in the orchards to keep a vigilant watch at night. Despite all these measures, a massive fire breaks out a week later and engulfs an entire mountainside of trees. In his search for the culprit, Dev resorts to armed violence. The slow burning of the orchards forces him to face the truth about himself and his family.
