一对姐妹方芳和方华为寻找丢失的狗——大黄，闯入城中村旁的废弃永昌工厂大楼，却意外揭开一段尘封二十年的悲剧往事。晚上，方芳的狗大黄跑进废弃大楼，他冒险进入寻找，发现墙上有诡异的红色小手印，还听到孩童的笑声。姐妹俩重返大楼，找到一个保险柜，带回家后遭遇灵异现象——路上有收音机自动播放童谣、扔掉的洋娃娃莫名回到大楼。她们发现邻居林伯和流浪汉马六与大楼的秘密有关。最终，林伯揭露真相，二十年前，工厂老板拖欠工资，导致马六的女儿因无钱治病去世。马六因此精神失常，多年来抱着女儿的洋娃娃，幻想她还活着。林伯和方建国为了保护马六，制造灵异现象吓退外人。
