17岁的程苗苗和16岁的程芽芽出生在林七油田采油一厂，家里三代都是油田职工，父亲程鹏飞是耳鼻喉科医生，母亲贾代玉是车队后勤，全家从西北搬迁到海边基地河坪镇。九十年代末，苗苗怀揣对外面世界的向往，拉着青梅竹马的发小李肆和闺蜜胡秋敏，打算利用高一暑假开启“去香港迎回归”的冒险行动，却出师不利。另一边，16岁的弟弟程芽芽上后山考古，差点被当成盗墓者。母亲贾代玉十分头疼，这对姐弟也开始了鸡飞狗跳的高中生涯。程苗苗陷入了和李肆的情谊危机，而弟弟程芽芽班上转来通缉犯的女儿袁山青，芽芽第一个站出来为袁山青抵挡了四面八方的敌意。孩子们在变化中迎来了成长。

在1997年的河坪镇。高二学生程苗苗和她的弟弟程芽芽，两兄妹之间的关系因家庭偏爱而紧张。在林七二中的升旗仪式上，教导主任肖方公开批评了高二学生李肆，因为他违规在游戏厅打游戏被抓，这是学校严令禁止的行为。李肆被要求在全校师生面前进行深刻检讨，并最终被记大过一次。

鄒素吟自少女時期離家北上工作賺錢，一再跳槽追求更高薪資，也累積自身的料理技藝。後來到鐵工廠挑起員工伙食，建立起自尊與自信；在這裡遇見賴志誠，戀愛、結婚。卻歷經一連串艱難：婆婆輕視、丈夫往生、好友背叛而負巨債。她問天為何如此，最終依憑對做菜的自信加入香積志工行列，在慈濟找到人生三問的答案。

Lord Don't Slow Me Down is a rockumentary film, looking back on British band Oasis' Don't Believe the Truth world tour which took place from May 2005 to March 2006. The film is directed by Baillie Walsh. 　　A handful of fans-only private screenings took place around the world with the world premiere of the film at the Directors Guild Theater in New York City on November 4, 2006 as part of the CMJ Film Festival. The UK television premiere was on Channel 4 on November 19, at 11:50pm, although it was a heavily edited version with approximately 40 minutes cut from the original 95 minute version. The film was unveiled to coincide with Oasis' best-of album "Stop the Clocks", released on November 20, 2006. A preview of the film was included on the Let There Be Love DVD single, released in November 2005. 　　The film features a new Oasis song also called "Lord Don't Slow Me Down", written by Noel Gallagher and recorded during the Don't Believe the Truth sessions, Gallagher described it as being "one of the best things, like The Who, The Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck Group combined, and it's got two drum solos on it!". He has also said that his girlfriend thought it was the only Oasis song you could dance to. The song was left off 'Don't Believe the Truth' because Gallagher felt that including it would have meant he'd have been singing too many songs on the record.
