费力耗时的中国传统服装在廉价方便的批量服装面前不堪一击。而这些传统服装制作工艺的耗时性实际上构成了对我们这个时代的反抗，反抗这个时代人类最可宝贵的精神和情感的缺失。我们去到山里、来到海边，向手工制作服装的人们学习，探索人类双手与自然万物的融合；与手工艺人进行对话，尝试发展传统服装的工艺和设计，使之适应现代生活的需求。让中国传统服装以及制作手工艺所承载的农耕文化因子传承下去，让我们对这个世界的感受回归到初心。

Shafts turn some mechanism that is out of sight. Screws revolve and move other gears; a bit rotates. More subtle mechanisms move other mechanical parts for unknown purposes. Weights rise and fall. The movements, underscored by sound, are rhythmic. Circles, squares, rods, and teeth are in constant and sometimes asymmetrical motion. These human-made mechanical bits seem benign and reassuring.
