The musical group Sparks, who teamed with Leos Carax on “Annette,” have been teasing, for a few years now, a new musical they’ve been working on that they want to turn into a feature film. They might have found a filmmaker willing to bring their songs and story to the screen. Sparks has gone on X, and posted a picture alongside director John Woo, and simply captioned: “Legendary filmmaker John Woo + Spark = ?????” 目前有猜测本片将会由吴宇森执导。

This short film by Germaine Dulac is a mystery: generally the date given is 1928, but many historians simply forget to even mention the film at all... Now the mystery can be lifted, since it was released as part of a French DVD(Retour de flamme, by Serge Bromberg's Lobster films) compiling restored shorts and cartoons, and transferred complete with the authentic original musical accompaniment, revealing that the film was in fact intended as an illustration of a song(The title of the film), which was in fact 3 minutes long, and which was recorded in 1930, which is obviously the accurate date for the film as well. It is, as usual with Mrs Dulac, highly impressionistic, whatever that means. Consider it as an early clip, in a gloomy, Frenchly poetic style.

Selena Gomez will play Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic based on the superstar singer’s 2013 memoir Simple Dreams. The Only Murders In The Building star and executive producer gave credence to the months-old internet rumors about the project today by posting a photo of the memoir as an Instagram Story. Deadline’s sister publication Rolling Stone later confirmed the casting. The movie is in pre-production, with James Keach and Ronstadt’s longtime manager John Boylan co-producing. Additional casting and release date have not been announced.
