在某街道的公园里，3位饲养可爱柴犬的大叔：阿中爸爸、阿爷爸爸、幸子爸爸，他们总是聚在一起漫天闲聊，抱怨日常并顺便遛着心爱的狗狗们，爱犬成痴的他们，连出门都要透过监视器与家里的柴柴互动。某天，唯一的单身汉阿中爸爸突然对一位带着白柴的波奇妈妈一见钟情，阿爷和幸子爸爸决定帮两人送作堆。但当恋爱运在柴犬的牵引下逐渐萌芽之前，他们熟悉聚会的公园竟面临拆除的危机！他们该如何拯救这平凡生活里的微小确幸？往后又该带这些萌柴们往何处遛达？拯救柴公园的大冒险刻不容缓地即将展开。

柴犬子讲述的是主人公柴犬子在周围的人眼中看起来只不过是一个茶色头发有点卷的普通女孩子。但是在另一个主人公石桥茶子的眼中却是一只两只腿直立行走的柴犬姿态。漫画就是围绕着这两个人的日常高中生活来展开，非常新颖有趣的作品。普通的中学2年级生，虽然是柴犬的姿态，但是除了茶子以外任何人都不会觉得不可思议。在作品中能够跟人普通的进行对话，但是句尾往往会带上“汪~”这样的尾音。

《柴犬阿旺的和式生活》是由插画家的川浦良枝绘制的故事集绘本。此绘本曾获2002年度日本MOE杂志年度读者票选最佳绘本奖。 故事的主人公是生活在一起的温柔勤劳的柴犬阿旺和调皮可爱的三毛猫阿妙（都是女孩）。她们一同生活在一间和式的平房里。绘本采用了温暖明亮的色调以及细腻自然的水彩画风描绘了生活中的种种趣事。它的一大特色就是对日本和式风俗和日本文化传统的细致描绘，几乎可以作为一本日本民俗风情的教材来使用。 动画版《柴犬阿旺的和式生活》忠实再现了原著中的清新细致的水彩风格，以每集5分钟，包含两个小章节的形式将绘本中的可爱柴犬阿旺搬上了荧幕。播放于NHK电视台。

Life is like a movie for Zaida, an aspiring filmmaker navigating Barcelona’s queer dating scene after she’s recently been dumped. Rohmer's influence on Zaida's life is clearly seen throughout the course of her relationship with Lara; their secret love blossoms as they discuss cinema and their love lives while struggling to create their own art.
